Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty in Farmington & Hartford, CT

In many cases, surgical rhinoplasty is the gold-standard for aesthetic nasal correction, but for one reason or another, there are times when surgery isn’t possible or preferred by patients. In these cases, a non-surgical rhinoplasty using injectable dermal fillers can change the shape of the nose.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is rapidly growing in popularity, but if you’re considering the treatment, make sure you do your homework first. Although the treatment itself takes only a few minutes, it is delicate and complex. A skilled injector with a deep understanding of nasal anatomy is essential for beautiful aesthetic results and a safe procedure.

Connecticut Facial Plastic Surgery offers non-surgical rhinoplasty in Farmington and Hartford County, CT. All injectable treatments at our offices are performed by our surgeons, never non-physician staff. Call us to learn more!

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty at Connecticut Facial Plastic Surgery

Non-surgical rhinoplasty uses injectable dermal fillers to add volume and change the shape of the nose. This procedure can fill depressions on the bridge of the nose and can harmonize the size and shape of the nasal tip and bridge. Our goal with non-surgical rhinoplasty is to refine the nose’s appearance and bring the facial features into balance.

The non-surgical rhinoplasty itself looks much like any injectable filler treatment. We start with a consultation where our board-certified surgeons discuss the risks and benefits of the procedure. We review medical history to make sure that the treatment is a safe choice. If you decide to go forward with the procedure, we’ll create a treatment plan together, choosing fillers and planning out injection locations.

When it is time for the treatment to begin, we apply a topical numbing cream to the nose. Then a series of small injections are made into the nose until the desired shape is achieved. After treatment, patients can return to work, school, or other activities without downtime.

At Connecticut Facial Plastic Surgery, all our injectable treatments, including non-surgical rhinoplasty, are performed by our highly trained and experienced doctors.

Choosing Between Surgical Rhinoplasty and a Liquid Nose Job

Fillers do have their limitations, and a non-surgical rhinoplasty cannot rival the results of a surgical procedure. Dermal fillers cannot remove tissue from the nose or reduce its size. Non-surgical rhinoplasty is solely an aesthetic procedure and does not address breathing difficulties, septal deviation, or airway blockages. Dermal fillers are also metabolized by the body over time, so the results from the procedure will only last temporarily.

Although the results of non-surgical rhinoplasty are limited in scope, for the right patient, this procedure can be transformative. It helps patients delay surgery or test-drive a new look before committing to surgery.

Is a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Right for You?

With a non-surgical procedure, it is easy to forget about potential risks. We want our patients to make informed decisions about procedures, with the necessary knowledge about potential risks and benefits. Before performing any non-surgical rhinoplasty treatment, we carefully discuss the details of this procedure.

If filler obstructs one of the many blood vessels in the nose, serious complications can arise including tissue death. These risks are significantly reduced when a non-surgical rhinoplasty is performed by an experienced, qualified provider. The injector must take care to place filler injections, so they will not obstruct critical blood supply channels.

Your choice of provider is essential for a safe and effective non-surgical rhinoplasty. We recommend working with a specialty-trained doctor that is experienced performing this delicate procedure. At Connecticut Facial Plastic Surgery, our team of doctors performs all injectable treatments themselves.

Frequently Asked Questions About Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

Come in for a consultation and get answers to all your questions about non-surgical rhinoplasty. We’re sharing answers to common questions about the procedure below:

The injection portion of a non-surgical rhinoplasty is over in just a few minutes. Preparing for the procedure does not require additional time. Patients typically spend about an hour at our office for a non-surgical rhinoplasty treatment.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty results are temporary. They typically last a year or more, depending on the fillers used and the body’s response to treatment. Patients that love their look after non-surgical rhinoplasty can maintain with regular dermal filler injections. Many patients eventually choose surgical rhinoplasty for a permanent result.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is well-tolerated. To increase comfort, we use a numbing cream on the nose before the injections. Many of the dermal fillers we use contain lidocaine, a topical anesthetic. Any tenderness from the treatment should resolve quickly, often in just a day or two.
