After years of dealing with congestion I finally made an appointment with Dr. Seeley in May. He was kind, friendly and knowledgeable from the minute I met him. In September Dr. Seeley and his team preformed the balloon sinuplasty procedure on me, which has been successful! Even though I struggled a bit with the procedure, they were so gentle and kind throughout. Follow ups have been great and quick and the whole team is friendly and nice. I actually enjoy coming in to my appointments! Thank you Dr. Seeley and team!!

My experience going to see Dr. Brook Seeley and getting a procedure was honestly the best experience I’ve ever had! From his staff at the desk, to Kim the coordinator, all the way up to Dr. Seelwy himself, I had a great experience even though I was so nervous and not knowing what to expect. He was so beyond professional, kind, friendly, and took all the time in the world to explain everything step by step, answering each and every one of my questions, and not pushing me to get the procedure or any of that fluff that other doctors do. It was an amazing experience. Thank you Dr. Seeley.

Revision Treatment for Facial Scars

Scars are visible signs of damage to the soft tissue, left behind after a wound has healed. Your scar may have a different color and texture than the surrounding skin, making you feel self-conscious about your appearance. If you have an unsightly facial scar, we can guide you through various scar revision techniques. Dr. Seeley can improve the appearance of your scar(s) using topical treatments, injectables, surgical excision, or a combination of these approaches. Scar revision techniques change the tone and texture of the scar so that it better blends with the surrounding skin and becomes less noticeable.

Earlobe Repair

If your earlobe has torn or is stretched, earlobe repair surgery can reverse this damage. Perhaps an earring has ripped the bottom of the earlobe and you’d like this repaired so you can continue to wear earrings. Many people who have had ear lobe stretching to wear large plugs would like their treatment to restore the lobes’ original form. You can have natural-looking results through earlobe repair to one or both ears. This surgical treatment is generally performed in our office under local anesthesia, and you can expect your procedure to be complete in about an hour.

Corrective Surgery to Restore Nasal Air Flow

Nasal surgery can be used to repair abnormal structures in the nasal passages that make it difficult to breathe through your nose. Whether you’ve experienced damage to your nose, or you have a congenital abnormality blocking the flow of air, our facial plastic surgeons can help. Problems with nasal airflow can cause chronic mouth breathing, recurrent sinus infections, sleep apnea, and headaches, but surgery can unblock the flow of air and dramatically improve these conditions. There are many different approaches to nasal airway surgery, and a thorough examination by one of our facial plastic surgeons during an in-office consultation can reveal the best option for you.

Balloon Sinusplasty - Allergy Surgery to Treat Sinusitis

If you have chronic sinusitis and suffer from sinus pain, you may be a good candidate for balloon sinuplasty – a minimally invasive approach to treating inflamed nasal tissues. Whether you have recurrent infections or prevalent allergies cause swelling and discomfort, Drs. Seeley can create an additional opening in your sinuses through a safe and effective procedure to improve these symptoms and alleviate pain. This procedure requires no removal of tissue or bone, so recovery is fast.

Ideal Candidates for Facial Reconstruction Surgery

Facial reconstruction is tailored for individuals seeking restoration of their natural beauty. Ideal candidates for these procedures include:

  • Patients Recovering from Skin Cancer: Individuals who have undergone surgical excision for skin cancer and are concerned about disfigurement or scarring. Our surgeons specialize in tissue preservation and restoration to achieve a natural appearance post-excision.
  • Individuals with Facial Scars: Those looking to improve the appearance of scars resulting from wounds, acne, chickenpox, or previous surgeries. Candidates may benefit from scar revision techniques that minimize the visibility of scars, enhancing skin texture and tone.
  • People Experiencing Earlobe Damage: Whether from trauma, such as a torn earlobe caused by earrings, or from intentional modifications like stretching, candidates can expect restoration to their earlobes’ original form through repair surgery.
  • Patients with Nasal Airflow Issues: Individuals suffering from congenital abnormalities, trauma-induced damage, or any condition that obstructs nasal airflow, leading to chronic mouth breathing, sinus infections, sleep apnea, or headaches. Surgery can offer a significant improvement in breathing and overall quality of life.
  • Those with Chronic Sinusitis: Candidates experiencing persistent sinus pain, recurrent infections, or swelling due to allergies may be suitable for balloon sinuplasty, a minimally invasive procedure designed to alleviate these symptoms.

A consultation with Dr. Seeley will help determine the most appropriate approach for you, ensuring personalized care tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Associated Risks

While facial reconstruction surgery can offer significant benefits, candidates need to be aware of potential risks and complications associated with these procedures. Common risks include:

  • Infection
  • Scarring
  • Nerve damage
  • Asymmetry
  • Adverse reaction to anesthesia

Dr. Seeley and the team are committed to discussing all potential risks and benefits during the consultation process.

Frequently Asked Questions

The cost of facial reconstruction surgery can vary widely based on the complexity of the procedure, the surgeon’s experience, the geographic location of the practice, and whether additional treatments are required. Minor procedures may cost a few thousand dollars, while more extensive surgeries can exceed tens of thousands. It’s best to schedule a consultation for a personalized estimate.

Recovery times from facial reconstruction surgery depend on the extent of the surgery and the individual’s healing process. Minor procedures may have a recovery time of a few days to a week, while more extensive surgeries could require several weeks to months for full recovery. Your surgeon will provide a detailed recovery timeline based on your specific procedure.

Insurance coverage for facial reconstructive surgery often depends on whether the procedure is deemed medically necessary. Surgeries required after trauma, for congenital defects, or for functional reasons (such as restoring breathing through the nose) are more likely to be covered. Cosmetic procedures are typically not covered. It’s important to consult with your insurance provider for specific coverage details.

Not all surgeons specialize in facial scar revision. This procedure requires a surgeon with specialized training in facial plastic surgery who understands the complexities of facial anatomy and has experience with the delicate techniques needed for optimal scar improvement. It’s crucial to choose a surgeon with a proven track record in successful scar revisions.

The cost of facial scar revision varies based on the scar’s size, location, and the complexity of the revision needed. Minor revisions may cost several hundred dollars, while more complex procedures could be significantly more expensive. Many surgeons offer consultations to provide a personalized quote based on the specific needs of the patient.
